Throughout jazz history, Meyer mouthpieces have produced some of the world's greatest alto sax sounds.
Meyer's new G takes tradition a step further with chamber and tip openings that allow today's musicians to recreate the sounds made famous by saxophonists of the past,such as Paul Desmond.
Conceived and developed in response to requests by professional musicians, free-blowing
G by Meyer produces warm, full sounds and can accommodate numerous playing styles.
"This mouthpiece has a larger chamber, based on a Gregory Chamber Design, which gives it a warmer overall sound quality than the standard Meyer hard rubber alto. The larger chamber also requires a bit more air to make it really play well, but it will provide a fat core and resonant sound, characteristic of the great players of the 60's."
